The Smuggler’s Notch
Road – Route 108
Established in 1978 as a State Scenic Road under the Vermont Scenic Roads Law, this scenic route passes through the area of Mansfield State Forest and offers convenient pullouts and parking areas where rock climbing and hiking are popular activities. During the winter months when snow arrives, the winding road becomes impossible to plow and is a favorite spot for cross-country and downhill skiers.
Gentle Giants Sleigh
Jingle Bells comes alive at Gentle Giants Sleigh Rides! Visitors can experience the most scenic and romantic horse-drawn ride, pulled by Percheron and Belgian draft horses in a one or two horse, open Santa-style sleigh. Venture through a covered bridge along an open brook, while winding through a picturesque wooded trail, all the while cozying up under warm blankets and enjoying a perfect New England experience. Open daily at 11:00.
