Vermont is the nation’s leader producer of maple syrup and because of all those sweet maple trees it’s also one of the most beautiful fall foliage displays in the country.
During the Vermont Maple Open House Weekend, some sugarmakers will offer tours, tastings, and the opportunity to view generations-old methods for producing the amber gold. You can’t just visit one sugarhouse either…there’s so many to choose from! Here are just a few in the Stowe area alone.
