One in three people alive today in the United States will be affected by cancer in some way. The Stowe Weekend of Hope provides an inspiring and educational retreat for hundreds of patients and survivors and their families coping with the many demands this dreadful disease. The 13th Annual Stowe Weekend of Hope will be held May 3 through May 5, 2013, and has seen tremendous growth, both locally and nationally. Presentations will include free lectures and seminars on the latest findings on cancer prevention and treatment from national renowned oncology specialists as well as helpful suggestions for healing, comfort, spiritual enlightenment and communion. This year’s Keynote Address will be given by Patrician O’Brien, M.D., Fletcher Allen Health Care & the Vermont Cancer Center at the University of Vermont.
