The Stowe Wine & Food Classic is a summer wine festival, held at the famous Trapp Family Lodge, to benefit charitable health care at Copley Hospital and The Vermont Foodbank. The Green Mountain Inn is proud to announce that our very own Chef Cody Vasek and The Whip Bar & Grill will be featured as one of the Grand Tasting Chefs & Restaurants. Farm to table cooking is one of Cody’s passions and makes him a great fit to provide outstanding cuisine during the festival.
Friday, June 21, 5-7 PM – Kick-Off Wine & Beer Pairing – wine & chocolate pairing led by James Beard Award-winner Rowan Jacobsen & beer & cheese pairing led by Vermont Farmstead’s head cheese maker, Rick Woods.
Saturday, June 22, 6 PM – Gala Dinner & Live Auction – Collaborative dinner w/5 renowned East Coast Chefs serving 5 courses – Dino Giordano from 30 Boltwood, Rogan Lechthaler from Downtown Grocery, Steve Atkins from the Kitchen Table Bistro, Kim Lambrechts from Trapp Family Lodge & Shawn Calley from Amuse. Featured wineries are: Duckhorn Vineyards, Capture Wines, Schramsberg Winery, Neyers Vineyards and Eden Ice Cider. Following the dinner, attendees will have the chance to bid on one-of-a-kind items from rare wines to vacation getaways and listen and dance to sounds of Mellow Yellow.
Sunday, June 23, 12 PM – 4 PM – Grand Tasting – Watch renowned chefs demonstrate their culinary skills during Culinary Theater Sessions, emceed by Tony Campos (host of New England Cooks), choose a taste from more than 100 premium wines and sample world-class food. Visit with winemakers and culinary experts, and bid on collectible wines and other varied treasures during the silent auction.
