Now in its 32nd year, the Stowe 8 Miler Run & Relay welcomes runners from all over New England and Canada to enjoy the beautiful eight mile single-loop course which will provide them with a stunning view of the Vermont countryside and then straight through the heart of downtown Stowe.  This year, the newly added two-person relay will be back, comprised of a 3 mile leg and a 5 mile leg, after which all participants of both the race and relay will be treated to a post-race celebration on the grounds of Ye Olde England Inne, with Smuttynose Beer, Island made ice cream and much, much more!

Start: 9:00 AM Sharp – Town Fields on Weeks Hill Road
Finish: Front Lawn of the Golden Eagle Resort
Finish Party: Ye Olde England Inne

The Stowe 8 Miler course is a rolling course with flat sections, with an amazing backdrop of Mount Mansfield and the Stowe countryside.  Starting out on a relatively flat section of Stowe, the race will eventually challenge its runners with elevation gains and challenging hills.  The Stowe 8 Miler race works closely with Stowe Parks & Recreation and also supports the Stowe Recreation Scholarship Program, allowing residents of Stowe to participate in Rec programs no matter their economic status.

All of us here at the Green Mountain Inn will be cheering for the runners and extend our best wishes for an outstanding race for each and every participant.  If you are in need of accommodations during your visit to Stowe, our staff is ready to help you plan your stay.  Give us a call at 800.253.7302 or check out our website.
