The character of Harry Brock has been played by a few famous men including Ed Asner, Jim Belushi and more, and “Born Yesterday” will continue to entertain theatre goers when it kicks off the 2014 season of the Lamoille County Players on May 2nd.
Harry Brock is a crooked junk dealer tycoon. He brings his showgirl mistress, Billie Dawn, to Washington, DC where he’s come to manipulate legislation of a crooked deal. Fearing he will be embarrassed of Billie Dawn’s lack of social graces, he hires a “tutor” to teach her how to fit in. Vivid personalities come to life when Billie Dawn surprises everyone and understands more that she should about human relationships, corruption and self-worth.
Originally built to serve as the Town Hall, the Hyde Park Opera House has been the perfect location for the Lamoille County Players to entertain audiences from all over the country.
