Stowe Theatre Guild's A Midsummer Night's Dream: The 40's Musical Coming this Fall

The Town Hall Theatre in Stowe is getting set for a twist on Shakespeare's madcap comedy this fall.

We can't wait for the upcoming theatre production of an adaption of Shakespeare's brilliant play. Artistic Director Don Wright gives it an American twist, and he and Music Director Ashley O’Brien have collaborated on the songs.

Stowe Theatre GuildAckley Memorial Building in Stowe
Thursdays through Saturdays, September 24 through October 10!

Shakespeare's play is madcap to begin with, but this production promises to bring the zaniness to new heights. It is set in Athens, Indiana, after World War II, and the conflict brews over who will reign supreme in the diner world. You can expect Oberon and Titania to scorch the stage with their battles, and Puck won't miss a chance to cause mayhem!

On Thursdays and Fridays the curtain rises at 8 p.m., and there are two shows on Saturdays. The earlier showing starts at 2 p.m., and the second show opens at 8 p.m. The Guild is a volunteer, non-profit organization, and it has been an important cultural contributor to the area for over 50 years. Your family will enjoy taking part in this wonderful tradition.

We are excited to see another community theatre event in Stowe getting ready to light up the area with some great comedy and music! We invite you to start your evening off with some fabulous food and drinks here at the Green Mountain Inn. The Whip Bar & Grill is the perfect place to stop after the show.

The Green Mountain Inn couldn't offer theatre-goers any more of a convenient location; the production is right across the street! September and October are prime times to see the brilliant fall colors in the mountains, so book your accommodations soon. You might even want to roast S'mores by the fire pit, on a crisp Stowe evening.
