The concert meadow is found at Trapp Family Lodge, and events are put on by Stowe Performing Arts. The outdoor venue is a sloping lawn that affords a perfect view and a great listening experience.

When you attend a show, you can either spread out with a picnic blanket (plus a picnic feast) or bring your own low-back or high-back lawn chairs. There are designated areas for each seating choice. That way, everyone gets a great view of the entertainment.

Summer Schedule for the Concert Series in Stowe

  • June 25 – The Lonely Heartstrings Band – This show, featuring foot-stomping bluegrass, is free!

  • July 16 – Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy – A married duo will dazzle with their fiddle-playing chops.
  • July 23 – The Black Market Trust – Hear the classic sounds of jazz in new ways.
  • August 20 – The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra – This is big-band jazz at its finest.

Brightly-colored giants float through the sky on a gentle breeze. This scene sounds straight out of a daydream, but it can be your reality when you watch hot air balloons lift off at the Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Hot-air-balloons-in-stowe-vermontFrom July 7-9, 2017, the balloons are launching bright and early every morning at Stoweflake Mountain Resort. The day progresses with food, wine and beer garden, live entertainment, children’s activities, and a ticketed evening launch.

Morning and Evening Hot Air Balloon Launches

Each morning of the festival, the balloons will launch at 6:30 a.m. sharp against the rising sun. Come and watch this first daily launch for free.

Every evening, pay admission for the sunset launch at 7 p.m. Kids 12 and under are free.

Festival and Entertainment Information

The gates for the festival open daily at 4 p.m. The price of admission gets you access to the children’s corner with fun activities like face painting and bouncy houses. You’ll also get access to the food, beer, and wine tent, gift shops, the spa tent, live music starting at 5 p.m., and the sunset launch.

Wander around the festival, or sit back with some beer or wine and watch the balloons sail across the sky in the distance.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

Take a ride in one of the candy-colored balloons. Go way, way up in the air for $275 per person, or get just a taste with a tethered launch for $10.

7 Miles of Sales in Stowe

Stowe’s 4th of July events include 7 Miles of Sales. This special blowout is when Stowe shops roll out their best bargains. Tent and sidewalk sales, online deals, and in-store savings will abound all over town from July 1st to the 4th.

Fireworks

Don’t forget to watch July 4th fireworks at the Mayo Farm Events Field. Admission is free, and the fun continues with games, more food, BBQ, and live music. The fireworks cap off the night – just remember to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
