Vermont is known for its libations, and one of the most idyllic, well-regarded Vermont wineries near Stowe is Boyden Valley Winery. Find out why you should pay a visit while you’re in the area.
Visit Boyden Valley Winery for a Taste of Vermont
Located on a historic farm a mere stone’s throw from Stowe, this winery is a must-visit.
The tasting room at Boyden Valley is located in a 1875 carriage barn, where you can sample seven different wines for a flat price. Tastings are available all day, and each guest will receive a keepsake glass.
Tour the winery’s production facilities and see how wine is made. You’ll see the tank and barrel room and how the finished product is barreled and bottled. Tours occur daily at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Seasonal Gourmet Cheese Plates
Sit in the carriage barn or on the outdoor patio with views of the mountains while you nosh on gourmet nibbles. The Gourmet Cheese Plate is a smorgasbord of artisan cheeses, specialty meat, seasonal or dried fruit, nuts, and fresh-baked bread.
There are also cheese boards, chocolate tasting boards, petite desserts, monthly featured cocktails, and more to enjoy.
