The Music in the Meadow Concert Series is ready to take over the Green Mountain State.
The harsh winter months seem to make the summer fun in Stowe, Vermont all the more enjoyable. And a long running tradition, put on by Stowe Performing Arts, is about to begin.
Delighting audiences since 1976, the Music in the Meadow Concert Series is now held at the modern yet still inherently natural Trapp Family Lodge. The front half of this amphitheater is for patrons wishing to catch this perennial series of music in Stowe VT on blankets and low-back chairs. The rest is a picnicking area, but either choice will clearly hear the sweet sounds of the Stowe outdoor music projecting over the green.
Stowe Performing Arts has released their four concert calendar for the 2018 season of Music in the Meadow:
- July 8 – The Vermont Symphony Orchestra as part of their Summer Festival Tour: Their Stowe outdoor music repertoire for this year will celebrate the “Gifts of Nature” (7:30PM-10:00PM).
- July 15 – Marcia Ball: The American blues singer and pianist will make music in the meadow with selections from her five-decade career (7:00PM-9:00PM).
- July 29 – The Dustbowl Revival: The Americana/Soul band brings their new album, whose sound is “the place where funk and folk meet”, to the Stowe outdoor music scene (7:00PM-9:00PM).
- August 5 – Phoebe Hunt & The Gatherers: The final and free Music in the Meadow offering is part jazz and swing but entirely inspired as her Stowe outdoor music contribution is the “soundtrack” of her soul (7:00PM-9:00PM)
Less than five miles from Trapp Family Lodge, The Green Mountain Inn is the perfect home base for these Stowe outdoor music events. Whether taking in the Music in the Meadow, or enjoying another form of summer fun in Stowe, Vermont, let the classic charm of the Green Mountain Inn be your haven of relaxation.
