This German festival in Stowe is one of the biggest fall events in Vermont.
Come be a part of one of the top fall events in Vermont at the 19th Annual Stowe Oktoberfest, held October 2-4. This family-friendly festival celebrates the heritage and culture of German-Americans and Vermont history. It will be conveniently located at the Stowe Events Field, but you may feel like you've stepped into an actual Bavarian village.
This annual harvest celebration is presented by the Rotary Club of Stowe. You can enjoy a weekend filled with great food and fun while supporting a good cause. A percentage of all proceeds will go to benefit the Friends of Stowe Adaptive Sports, which helps make it possible for those with physical handicaps to participate in recreational sports and activities.
The fall festival kicks off Friday evening with live music and dancing and welcomes back to the stage one of Stowe's favorite local bands, the Sugardaddies. Start Saturday's celebration with the Oktoberfest Grand Parade Stowe. The parade will feature local marching bands, floats and classic cars. It all begins in the village of Stowe and ends right in the middle of the festivities at the events field. Enjoy a bratwurst, sauerkraut and refreshing Vermont-brewed beer while listening to authentic German oompah bands and a live yodeler. With activities including a sing-a-long and silent auction, along with pumpkin decorating and bouncy houses, there will be something for everyone.
If you are looking for a place to stay while enjoying the festival, come visit us at the historic Green Mountain Inn for a cozy Vermont getaway. Located in the heart of Stowe, you will enjoy the serenity of Vermont while still staying close to all the action.
