Vermont's premier music event arrives with free summer concerts in Stowe
Stowe and the Northern Vermont
area are excited about the Music in the Meadow Concerts that take place in the Trapp Family Lodge Concert Meadow. With picnic-style seating, the concert series offers a season of free summer shows within a beautiful outdoor setting. Bring your family or friends for an unforgettable evening of jazz and fun that is part of this unique musical program and its contribution to the cultural scene of Vermont.
The August 2nd concert features the Hot Sardines playing electrifying jazz, and it all begins at 7:00 p.m. Their music is a fusion of musical influences from the Great Depression and features the sounds heard in several cities such as New York, Paris and New Orleans. Having played at the London Jazz Festival in 2014, this group was called back to do a second show. Additionally, the Vermont Jazz Ensemble plays on September 6th at 5:30 p.m., and they'll have your toes tapping as they play musical renditions in their big band style. With over 35 years of experience, this jazz ensemble has been bringing their sound to Vermont and New England since 1976 and they're a local favorite.
Part of Stowe Performing Arts, Music in the Meadow brings the community as well as visitors together for a wonderful time of great sounds and the best of musical performances in a memorable atmosphere. You will be surrounded by the beauty of the meadow, twinkling night skies and sunset glows as well as the awesome sounds of the musicians.
