The Stowe Recreation Path Becomes Transformed for the Stowe Tour de Snow!

When families come to Stowe during the winter season, snow activities are usually first and foremost in their minds and if you’re looking for a new snow experience, the Stowe Tour de Snow is the perfect event.  Enjoy a full day of activities on the Stowe Recreation Path with FREE Nordic ski equipment and lessons offered to all registered children.  Fun-filled activities provided by local merchants and friends of the Rec Path will be available throughout the day, along with a Vintage Cross-Country Ski Race sponsored by The Vermont Ski & Snowboard Museum.

Dog Sledding in Stowe Makes for the Perfect Vermont Getaway!

Trapp Nordic Cup Time Trial Series – A New Timed 5K Race!

We know we don’t have to give you a reason to come to Stowe; everyone knows that the skiing is amazing and the scenery is something from fairy tales – but if we needed to have one, the brand new Trapp Nordic Cup Time Trial Series would be it!  Beginning on December 31 and running for 10 weeks through February 25, every Tuesday, skiers and skaters alike can compete on a marked race course complete with timing and start area.  Participants can choose their start time between 9 AM and 4 PM and can also compete in the 5K loop in skate, classic or both.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the Green Mountain Inn!

Are you spending the Thanksgiving holiday in Stowe this year?  It’s a great time to take advantage of spectacular shopping and entertainment that’s plentiful throughout the area.  If sugar plum faeries are part of your Thanksgiving tradition, then head on over to the Stowe/Mad River Dance Academy to witness ballet perfection in their production of The Nutcracker.  With a little luck, you may even be able to hit the slopes, as Stowe Mountain Resort celebrated their Opening Day on November 23rd.
