This well-attended weekend retreat for cancer survivors is an inspirational and healthy retreat weekend for survivors and their families. It’s the perfect forum for enlightenment, education, inspiration and of course, retreat, right in the heart of the restorative environment of Stowe. The experience is exceptional in that it offers support for survivors, their family members and caregivers. Each year the event schedule includes a variety of support groups, informational gatherings and hands-on workshops as well as retail environments that support growth and healing and plenty of time for relaxation. There will be ecumenical services, musical events and plenty of motivational talks designed to heighten the growth and healing experience.
The Hope and Wellness Through Movement for the Mind and Body promises a full day of healing activities such as meditation, biking and yoga. Participants can pick the activities they most enjoy and participate in those. The Heal Thyself Through Writing workshop is led by a clinical mental health counselor and explains how and why writing can help with the healing process. The workshop is a great platform for participants to discuss and read aloud their works while ending with an uplifting short essay. A wide variety of other workshops, talks and activities will take place during the course of the weekend.
