If you’re up for a challenge this summer, the Race to the Top of Vermont is for you. Held on Sunday, August 28, 2016, in Stowe, the race promises just that, along with incredible views, activities for all ages, and plenty of fun. Join 800 other athletes from all over the United States for a race that will test your limits and show you the beauty of Vermont in new ways.
The race begins at 9:00 am and takes runners, bikers, and hikers up Mt. Mansfield along a trail stretching over 2000 ft. Whether you’re trying to beat your best time or enjoying the views, all participants experience the community a race like this involves. The event supports the Catamount Trail Association, so while you’re enjoying the best of Vermont’s environment, you are also making it possible for others to enjoy it for years to come.
Kids Run in Stowe
It’s not all about the race itself—kids get in on the fun, too! The Kids Run for Fun allows children aged 4-14 to run a 1-2 km loop, depending on their age group. All participants will receive a prize at the end of the race, as well as an official race bib. Your kids will feel just like the adult runners!
To cap off the morning, a post-race BBQ lunch will be served, consisting of a delicious menu sure to replenish your energy. Sit down with other participants and share stories of your race to the top!
All set to race? Register online, over the phone, or via email. Complete your plans by booking your stay at the Green Mountain Inn for a comfortable, relaxing place to rest after the race. We look forward to cheering you on!
