Delicious Dining in Stowe: What’s on the Menu

1. Brunch

Whip-bar-grillBrunch specialties include lunch selections as well as fabulous breakfasts. Try the classic French Toast made with homemade, fresh-from-the-bakery honey oat bread and served with Vermont maple syrup, one of the fluffy omelets, or try a specialty like Eggs Oscar (pan-fried crab cakes with poached eggs and hollandaise).

2. Lunch

For lunch, try the homemade New England clam chowder, which has been one of our specialties for over 30 years. You can also get a sandwich or burger with all the trimmings, like the Green Mountain Club, piled high with roasted turkey breast, Black Forest ham, sharp cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. There’s also fresh salads, warm pastas, and more.

3. Dinner

For dinner, try a tasty entrée like the peppercorn-encrusted Steak Au Poivre, the prosciutto-wrapped chicken breast with sun-dried tomato cream, or the grilled rack of lamb with a herb Dijon crust.

4. Desserts

Finish off your meal with one of our decadent desserts, like our signature and sinful Sac de Bon Bon – a chocolate “bag” filled with chocolate mousse and served with different dessert sauces – or the maple crème brulee, a classic treat with a Vermont twist.

Make your dinner reservation today for dining in Stowe at Green Mountain Inn to see (and taste!) for yourself. Your taste buds and stomach will thank you.

Snowy Scenery, Sleigh Rides, and Things to Do During Winter

Snowshoeing1. Snowmobiling in Stowe

Speed through the snowy landscape on a winter adventure. Snowmobiling is a great way to get outdoors, even in the cold months, not to mention witnessing the simple beauty of a snow-covered Vermont. A guide will take you on a 25-mile tour across hills, through woods, and along straightaways, where you can punch up the speed and really feel the wind in your face.

2. Sleigh Rides

Take a magical ride behind a team of horses. You can get a group together for a jolly time, or choose a romantic ride for two. Jingle bells will ring merrily as you glide over the snow. The sleighs run from December 15 through February 24 and are an enchanting way to experience a Vermont winter.

3. Snowshoeing in Stowe

Take a guided snowshoeing tour in the day or the evening. You can snowshoe through the woods by moonlight or lantern to a cozy cabin and a crackling fire, or take a day trek through the woods near the Ben & Jerry’s factory, followed by a tour exploring how ice cream is made.

Or, rent some snowshoes and head off at your own speed. Recreation Path is a great snowshoe hike.

Don’t forget other popular winter activities like skiing, sledding, ice skating, snowboarding, and ice fishing!
