What You Can Buy from Local Farms in Vermont
- Local Produce. For produce, you’ll find a rainbow of crisp and delicious fruits and veggies. Crunchy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, sweet berries, fragrant herbs, and everything the garden can provide is here.
- Deli and Pantry Items. Local meats, cheeses, and dairy are on offer, too, along with fermented vegetables, local maple syrup, fresh mushrooms, and a variety of spirits and mead.
- Freshly-Prepared Foods. Come to the market hungry, and you will definitely find something to whet your appetite. Prepared foods at the Farmers’ Market range from potstickers, BBQ, fresh salads, samosas, gourmet pizza, baked goods, crepes, ice cream, and plenty more.
- Crafts and Art. Local artisans and artists are on hand every week to sell their beautiful work. Among the handcrafted items, you’ll find jewelry, pottery, collages, glass and slate work, paintings, photography, and handbags, to name a few.
Along with goods for sale, the market hosts a rotating roster of entertainment every week. Come to hear local bands and musicians, see a fun cooking demonstration, or to interact with farm animals at a petting zoo.
The Farmers’ Market is the perfect way to experience the bounty of the hills, forests, and local farms in Vermont. Come on Sundays starting at 10:30 a.m. and get a taste of Stowe.
