Winter in Stowe is magical on its own but when you couple the season with the holidays, something even better happens! The sound of holiday music fills the air, a lantern parade, a festival of trees and light, even more shopping hours... there is something to make even the Grinch’s heart fill with joy. Between November 30th and December 2nd, the Village is filled with events to enjoy:
Friday you can celebrate with the lighting of Main Street and Children’s Lantern Parade as well as the Holiday Tree Lighting. Afterward, take in a performance of “A Christmas Carol” at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center.
On Saturday, visitors will be treated to the Annual Christmas Fair at Stowe Community Church with handmade crafts and gifts for purchase. At Cork Stow, there will be a fun filled day of Gingerbread House Decorating and Candy cane Twisting. Don’t miss your chance to get photos of Reindeer and Donkey, the beautiful village tree and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus! Carolers will be singing, cookies will be decorated and hay rides and ice skating can round out your day.
Sunday is has its own festivities to enjoy as well with the opportunity to meet and skate with characters of the film Frozen, another performance of "A Christmas Carol."
