In the last 25 years, the cancer rate has dropped 27% but it is easy to forget when it hits close to home for so many. Stowe Weekend of Hope has helped families affected by this cope through empathy and compassion. Now in its 19th year, the Stowe Weekend of Hope is set to return to our area on Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5, providing three-days of education, healing, and support activities to cancer survivors, their families, and caregivers. With support from the Stowe Area Association, Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society, and more, the core values of this inspirational retreat in Stowe, Vermont remain the same as the attendance continues to grow.

One of the aspects that makes this specific health and wellness retreat in Vermont such a unique experience is that it provides support for the whole family. Continuing to grow as one of the top cancer survivor events in Vermont, organizers have alleviated a lot of the financial burden and stress on the families, especially those attending for the first time! First-Time Attendees receive free lodging with discounted rates for returning guests.

Continually highlighted in Vermont Living Magazine as one of the most significant fundraising events in the state annually, this special weekend of events includes a schedule full of panels and activities with some of the top oncologists in the nation for cancer survivors and their families. There are a large variety of events fit for the whole family, which include healing activities like yoga, swimming, biking and other recreational sessions, therapeutic workshops, and informative panels.
